Dr. Lee Harrison specializes in infectious diseases and is certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He practices at University of Pittsburgh Physicians Division of Infectious Diseases and is affiliated with UPMC Presbyterian. He completed his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine and residency at University of Virginia Medical School, followed by fellowships at Emory University School of Medicine and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Alexander Sundermann is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health, specializing in applying whole genome sequencing surveillance to detect healthcare-associated infections and outbreaks. His work with genomic surveillance has significantly advanced the field of healthcare infection prevention to better understand the epidemiology of healthcare outbreaks. He is board certified in infection control and a fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control.
Dr. Adrian Ibrahim is a life sciences executive, company founder, and technology commercialization leader with more than 25 years of experience translating breakthrough science into healthcare impact. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Enedra Therapeutics and Entrepreneur in Residence at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where he supports the development of deep-tech companies addressing major health challenges.
Dr. Ibrahim previously led business development and technology transfer at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, helping expand its portfolio of spin-out companies and strategic partnerships. His background spans academic research, biotech company formation, genomics, fundraising, and commercialization, with extensive board and leadership experience across the life sciences sector.
Dr. Tom Weaver is a serial biotech founder, executive, and angel investor with deep expertise in genetics, genomics, diagnostics, and therapeutic innovation. He has founded and led multiple life sciences companies, including PetMedix, which developed species-specific antibody therapeutics for companion animals and was acquired by Zoetis in 2023.
Dr. Weaver has also held senior leadership roles across genomic medicine and biotechnology, including Congenica, GENESERVICE, and NGD Infection Prevention, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer. His career has focused on applying advanced genomic and disease-modeling technologies to improve diagnosis, accelerate drug development, and address unmet medical needs across human and animal health.
